NORTH HOKKAIDO

JAPAN ALPS


A route that includes one of the highest roads in Japan, offering spectacular scenery and numerous hot springs.

NORIKURA


The highest road in Japan (2700m elevation), with the spectacular alpine scenery you'd expect. Just bring along an extra pair of lungs...

SHIZUOKA


On-again, off-again bikepaths make this a troublesome but still rewarding way to travel along Japan's Pacific Coast from Shizuoka.to Lake Hamana and on (by ferry) to Ise.

OKINAWA


Cycle completely around the largest of the Ryukyu Islands, enjoying great beach and mountain scenery. Just avoid the poisonous habu snake as you guzzle "habu-zake"!

HOKKAIDO OKHOTSK

A LONG route that goes straight up through the center of Hokkaido, passing through Furano and Biei, and then down along the Sea of Okhotsk to Shiretoko/Rausu.

HAKUBA


Cycle straight from the Japan Sea up into the middle of the Japan Alps - and return via Nagano or Matsumoto.

SADAMISAKI


Cycle this long, thin peninsula from western Shikoku almost (but not quite) all the way to Kyushu.
